| Knock Only |
You must knock with deadwood in this game (ie: you cannot have GIN only). The TD will specify if the non-knocker can hold an ace or not - usual practice is that you cannot sit and hold an ace to undercut your knocking opponent.. |
| Suicide |
When your opponent knocks, you MUST uncheck all the blue lines in your hand. |
| No Faces (Royals) |
You cannot meld any faces (J,Q,K) in your hand. |
| Tourney Styles |
| 1 v 1 |
This tourneys has pairings of one player against another single player. Once you lose a game you are out of the tourney. |
| Tag/2 v 2 |
This tourney has 2 players against another 2 players.
Game is played by 4 peopled joining an UNRATED table and 2 members sitting. Once a hand is loss the other team member changes seats with the losing hand player. The winning hand player continues to sit & play until a hand is lost.
A tag must have a minimum of 4 players and even team numbers in order to be held. If there are 4 teams registered, yet the teams are uneven (extra odd number auto-team locator) then that player or partial team will be dropped automatically by the system when tourney starts)
-
Registering for Tag: Players join the tourney as a TEAM - by asking for a partner (p) in the lobby. The "captain" (first player making a team) registers a Team name with a Team Password - and then registers with league name & league password. The 2nd player JOINS the team by clicking on "Join Team" , finding the team name in drop down box and typing in the team password that is made up by the captain, then continues to register with league name & league password. An alternative is to register on "Auto Team Locator" where you just type in your league name & password and once tourneys starts you are paired up with another member randomly.

| True Swiss |
A Swiss tourney is when all players registered play all rounds win or lose and bux are awarded with each round won. A TRUE Swiss has a set number of rounds (set by the TD - 3 round is our league standard) and once the final set round is played the tourney is over. It is possible in a true Swiss to have a tie rather than an individual winner of tourney. |
| Regular Swiss |
A REGULAR Swiss tourney is also means that players play all rounds win or lose and bux are awarded with each round won. There is no set number of rounds and the tourney continues until a single winner is determined. NOTE : If you wish to withdraw from any SWISS tourney then you must do so yourself, it is not the TD's responsibility. You may withdraw BETWEEN rounds by clicking on the tourney registration page and under the REGISTER link type in your league name & league password and click the WITHDRAW button. |
